Times Steps

The 'time steps' in EFDM is an interval that refers to the pre-determined aggregate of ages. The model output will be given by time step, and this may not necessarily correspond to an annual step, but rather the sum of several years. The width of each time step will usually correspond to the time between the two observations of the NFI-plots that are used in estimating the Transition Probabilities for the model. This is typically 5, 7 or 10 years.
